About the role:
We have recently expanded Geomiq and created a new Quality hub in Shenzhen, China. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual for the role of General Manager, to lead our newly established Quality Hub in Shenzhen. The successful candidate will oversee and manage operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, efficiency, and expansion. Managing will be key, with additional focus on attracting, hiring, and overseeing a high-performing team to support the hub’s growth and success.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop operational policies and budgets for the Quality hub in Shenzhen, China.

Hiring and managing employees:
- The candidate must have experience in team management.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team towards achieving quality goals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Attract, hire, and onboard top talent to build a robust and skilled workforce.
- Manage employees, ensuring skill enhancement and career growth opportunities.
- Achieve strategic objectives for the China hub on a quarterly basis.
- Oversee employees to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage supplier performance by leading the supplier development team to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Supervise in-house quality control processes for manufactured components.
- Collaborate with external accountants and senior management based in the UK.
Experience Required:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a general manager or operations manager
- Experience within the manufacturing or mechanical engineering industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a quality or manufacturing environment.
- Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum)
- Demonstrated expertise in attracting, hiring, and managing employees, with a focus on building high-performing teams.
- 3+ years’ experience working in supplier development
- Excellent understanding of Chinese tax systems
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills

- 技术能力:能够阅读并理解技术工程图纸(具备 CNC 零件加工经验者尤佳)。

- 供应商开发:拥有3年以上供应商开发经验。
- 税务知识:对中国税务系统有深入了解。
- 语言能力:精通普通话和英语。
- IT 技能:熟练掌握常用办公软件和系统。
- 自我驱动:能够自主开展工作并推动项目进展。
- 沟通能力:具备出色的沟通和协调能力。
