About the role:

We have recently opened Geomiq China and established a new Quality Hub in Shenzhen. We are looking for a Hands On Quality Inspector to support our manufacturers in China by delivering products efficiently and ensuring that our quality checks are conducted correctly. 

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct Hands On inspection and testing of manufactured parts to ensure they meet predefined specifications and quality standards. This includes using various measurement and testing tools to check dimensions, functionality, and durability of the products.
• Verify that all parts align with the technical drawings and specifications. This involves detailed comparisons against engineering drawings and ensuring that every component matches the required tolerances and parameters.
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks, results of inspections, and testing processes.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and share them with management and relevant departments. Ensure all job cards are accurately completed and filled out.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to resolve issues, determine root causes, and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders involved in the orders to provide updates and collect feedback.
• Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in quality control practices.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum).
• Minimum 3 -5 years hands on experience working as a Quality Inspector within the manufacturing industry using: 
  • Vernier Callipers, Micrometers, CMM and other quality tools.
• Experience in manufacturing of metal and plastic components (CNC, Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal would be a bonus).
